Verdure Coffee Table

About 10 years ago a client of mine had an original Aubusson Verdure tapestry hanging in the room I was painting. I was enamored with the colors and surface quality. This experience burned in my memory. I have attempted to re-create that same experience in these original prints.

The process is extensive but worthy. Screen-printed by hand on canvas, embedded in layers of historic cracked gesso, and then cracked and finished in a hand-buffed lustrous gloss and gilt. Then, stretched and adhered to our custom wood collapsible cocktail/coffee table. This allows for a more affordable shipping without compromising build quality.
